Power bands do not need to rely on gravity for resistance. Hence, resistance can be provided both horizontally and vertically rather than only vertically. This makes it more suitable for sports mimicry where the load is not always uni-directional.
Can also be used in powerlifting to provide increased resistance, or support depending on placement of bands.
